Inchidaly Rock, who carries the colours of Harry Findlay’s mother Maggie, was given a quote of 14-1 from 25s by Sky Bet for the RSA Chase but will almost certainly miss that Festival engagement.
Trainer Paul Nicholls explained: “He’s a proper stayer on that ground and his jumping got better as the race went on after a mistake at the ditch.
“He’s more likely to run in the four-miler at the Festival. I think that would be ideal for him.”
Joint-owner Harry Findlay had a word of caution for anyone contemplating taking the 16-1 on offer for the RSA Chase.
Findlay said: “Paul [Nicholls] says if the ground is like today or quicker we will go for the 4m race at the Festival and not the RSA Chase. On heavy ground he could go for the RSA.
