“CHELTENHAM” RELEASED TO THE NATION
MAKE THE CHARITY SINGLE “CHELTENHAM” NUMBER ONE FOR JUST 99P
Thanks to so many people, the dream that started last November has now become a reality. The single ‘Cheltenham’ is due to be released into the UK chart on SUNDAY 7TH OF MARCH, 2010.
With your help we can make this a huge hit for four benefiting racing charities including; The Bob Champion Cancer Trust, Riding for the Disabled, Racing Welfare and the National Rehabilitation Hospital in Ireland.
The hype and anticipation has been building since the recording back in February and now is the time to act. The parody of Petula Clarke’s 1964 hit has the feel good factor and it gives everyone a chance to sing along. As the song says……’you can forget all your troubles, forget all your cares so go to Cheltenham’. Paddy Power have priced up the chances of the single hitting the No 1 spot in both the UK and Irish charts at 10/1 and 8/1 respectively.
The lead vocalist on the track is 25 year-old pop/country and soul singer, Laura Critchley who won best Live entertainer in 2008 at the Irish Entertainment Awards and has supported the Sugababes in Dublin along with Boyzone at the RDS Stadium previously.
We are not ‘Racing Against the Machine’, and it is true to say we are not in the league of Simon Cowell or Robbie Williams, we are not pretending to be, we simply want to have some fun and raise as much as possible for four great causes. If the single does make the Top 10 it will be down to our supporters and we are very grateful of you taking the time to help us.
So how can you help us?
‘Cheltenham’ will be available for download in the UK from all digital stores, including iTunes, 7 digital and all mobile networks from 7th March but the easiest way to DOWNLOAD YOUR SINGLE is text “track 5271 m” to 83262 from the 7th March on most phones (not the iPhone) in the UK!
The physical CD will be available from 15th March from selected HMV stores, and online at hmv.co.uk and amazon.co.uk
On behalf of all those people who will benefit from the great work of the four charities, THANK YOU!
